Fatal DUI Crash on Poinciana Parkway Leaves One Dead, Several Injured; Driver Arrested

OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL — According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a tragic multi-vehicle crash Thursday night on Poinciana Parkway left one person dead and several others seriously injured. The Florida Highway Patrol says the incident occurred on November 27, 2025, at approximately 11:41 p.m. near State Road 538 (Poinciana Parkway) and Sienna Boulevard.

According to investigators, a 2004 Acura MDX (Vehicle 1) driven by 44-year-old Eddy Edmond of Davenport was traveling westbound on Poinciana Parkway when he failed to stop for traffic ahead. Edmond’s SUV struck the rear of a 2025 Hyundai Tucson (Vehicle 2), which had been stopped in the westbound lane.

The impact caused the Hyundai to overturn and collide with a 2015 Ford F-150 (Vehicle 3), which was also stopped in traffic.

The Hyundai’s driver, a 34-year-old woman from Kissimmee, and five passengers were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. Among the passengers was an 18-year-old female from Stockbridge, Georgia, who was pronounced deceased at Osceola Regional Medical Center. Identities of four of the injured passengers are pending confirmation.

The driver of the Ford F-150, a 40-year-old man from Apopka, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Edmond, who sustained minor injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken into custody at the scene. Troopers arrested him for DUI Manslaughter, and he was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
