Two Killed in High-Speed Crash on State Road 528 in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Two men were killed early Friday morning in a high-speed crash on State Road 528 near Orangewood Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

Troopers say the crash happened around 2:17 a.m. on September 26 at mile marker 2. Investigators report that a 2020 Lamborghini Huracán, driven by a 41-year-old man from Kissimmee, was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it failed to slow down for traffic ahead.

The Lamborghini struck the rear of a Ford F-550 truck, driven by a 58-year-old man from Altamonte Springs. The impact caused catastrophic damage to the sports car. Both the driver and his passenger, a 41-year-old man from Windermere, were rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.

The truck driver was not injured and remained at the scene. FHP confirmed that both victims were wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation.
