MESA, AZ – A potential house fire was quickly brought under control today thanks to the rapid response of Mesa Fire & Medical crews. The incident, which began in a chimney, resulted in no injuries or damage to the property.
According to Mesa Fire & Medical, a 911 call was received at approximately 12:15 PM regarding a fire that started in the chimney. The homeowner advised dispatch that they saw smoke and flames but were attempting to extinguish the blaze themselves.
Mesa Fire & Medical, along with a Battalion Chief and multiple fire engines, responded to the scene. Mesa Police were also on hand to assist. Upon arrival, firefighters immediately deployed hoses and began to attack the fire. Their swift actions successfully extinguished the flames, preventing any spread beyond the chimney.
