LOS ANGELES, CA — The FBI has announced the creation of a digital media tipline in response to ongoing acts of violence and unrest believed to be connected to protests against immigration enforcement in the Los Angeles area.

In a public statement issued Tuesday, the agency is requesting the public’s help in identifying individuals involved in criminal activity such as assaults, looting, property damage, and arson. Officials are specifically seeking photos and videos that may capture any unlawful conduct related to anti-immigration enforcement demonstrations.

The Bureau emphasized that this tipline is solely intended to gather evidence linked to acts of violence or criminal behavior—not peaceful protests.

“We are urging citizens to come forward with any visual evidence—no matter how minor it may seem—that can assist in our investigation,” the FBI said in a statement. “This includes assaults, property damage, looting, arson, or other illegal activity in or around the Los Angeles area.”

Members of the public can submit media files securely through the FBI's online portal:

Officials say all submissions will be reviewed by investigators as part of ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for violence connected to recent civil unrest.

The FBI encourages anyone with relevant information to act promptly, noting that community cooperation plays a vital role in restoring safety and accountability.
