SCOTTSDALE, AZ – A routine traffic stop escalated on the Loop 101 freeway earlier today, resulting in a driver being tased and facing potential jail time for multiple offenses.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), State Troopers initiated a stop on a vehicle for reckless driving and criminal speeding on the SR-101. Officials reported that the driver initially refused to comply with the Troopers' commands.

Due to the driver's non-compliance, a Taser was deployed to subdue the individual. The driver was then taken into custody.
