Breaking: Shooting Reported at Poinciana Walmart, Deputies and Fire Rescue Responding
POINCIANA, Fla. — Law enforcement and emergency crews are responding to a reported shooting Thursday evening at the Walmart located at 904 Cypress Parkway in Poinciana. The incident was reported at approximately 7:50 p.m.
According to initial dispatch information, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and Osceola County Fire Rescue were both enroute to the scene shortly after the call came in. The situation remains active and developing as first responders work to secure the area.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding any potential victims, suspect information, or what may have led up to the reported shooting. Deputies are working to establish a safe perimeter while fire rescue units stage nearby to provide medical assistance if needed.
Residents and shoppers in the area are urged to avoid the Walmart and surrounding businesses along Cypress Parkway and use caution while traveling nearby as emergency vehicles continue to respond.
