🎃 Mesa Police Announce Halloween Weekend DUI Task Force

Mesa, AZ  The Mesa Police Department (MPD) has announced a special Halloween Weekend DUI Task Force aimed at keeping local roads safe from impaired drivers. The operation will run Thursday, October 30 through Saturday, November 1, 2025, with enforcement hours between 5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. each night.

The MPD Traffic Unit, in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS), will focus on identifying and removing impaired drivers from the roadway. The goal is simple — prevent crashes, reduce injuries and fatalities, and promote safer streets across the Valley.

According to MPD, this annual enforcement effort is part of their ongoing mission to protect the community during high-traffic holidays like Halloween, when alcohol-related incidents tend to rise. Officers will be out in force across Mesa, watching for signs of impaired or reckless driving.

Mesa Police urge everyone to celebrate responsibly this weekend by designating a sober driver or using a rideshare service.
If you spot a reckless or suspected impaired driver, report it immediately to your local law enforcement agency.

Stay safe and have a happy Halloween weekend! 👻🎃
