Teen Killed in Early Morning Shooting Near Loop 202 in Tempe

Tempe, AZ (iSkyNews.com) – A 17-year-old male is dead following a shooting early Friday morning in Tempe, and police are asking for the public’s help.

According to the Tempe Police Department, officers responded to a call around 1:50 AM on July 25 in the area of E. Playa Del Norte Drive and the Loop 202 freeway. Upon arrival, they found the teenage victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers immediately began lifesaving efforts, and Tempe Fire and Medical Rescue quickly arrived at the scene. Despite these efforts, the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been identified at this time. Detectives are working to gather leads and ask anyone with information to come forward.

“We urge anyone who saw or heard anything unusual in the area around that time to please reach out,” said a spokesperson for the Tempe Police Department.
