Chandler Man Arrested in Connection With Mother’s Death, Police Say

CHANDLER, AZ — A Chandler man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and vulnerable adult abuse following an investigation into the 2025 death of his 84-year-old mother, according to information provided directly to iSkyNews.com by the Chandler Police Department.

Police identified the suspect as 64-year-old Allen Page, who was arrested on August 27, 2026. His mother, Mary Elenz, was reportedly under his care at the time of her death.

The investigation began after Chandler police were notified of Elenz’s death in September 2025.

According to police, hospice care staff were called to Elenz’s Chandler home to check on her and reportedly found her unresponsive and in extremely poor physical and living conditions. Elenz died the following day.

Chandler Police detectives then launched an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death and the care she had received.

Investigators say they ultimately developed probable cause to believe Page failed to provide his mother with necessary care and medical attention despite allegedly being responsible for her personal and financial care and being aware that her condition was deteriorating.

Page now faces one count of second-degree murder, a Class 1 felony, and one count of vulnerable adult abuse, a Class 2 felony.

He is also facing four counts of misconduct involving weapons as a prohibited possessor, each a Class 4 felony.

Police have not released additional details explaining the circumstances surrounding the weapons charges.

The arrest comes nearly a year after Elenz’s death as detectives worked to determine whether criminal conduct contributed to the circumstances surrounding her care and death.

The case remains an active criminal investigation.

Page is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
