Last Week to Beat the Heat: Mesa Cooling Centers Closing Soon

MESA, Ariz. — Mesa residents have just a few more days to stay cool before the city’s cooling centers close for the season. These locations have been open all summer to help protect the community during periods of extreme heat, offering safe, air-conditioned spaces to rest, recharge, and escape the sun.
The cooling centers will remain available through Tuesday, September 30, before closing as fall officially sets in.

- ASU Mix Center at Mesa City Center – 50 N. Centennial Way
- ⏰ Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- St. Vincent de Paul – Mesa Dining Room – 67 W. Broadway Rd.
- ⏰ Daily, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Terros Health – 1111 S. Stapley Dr.
- ⏰ Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. | Friday – Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Velda Rose United Methodist Church – 5540 E. Main St.
- ⏰ Daily, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Social Spin – 1255 E. Southern Ave.
- ⏰ Daily, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- A New Leaf / MesaCAN – 635 E. Broadway
- ⏰ Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Falcon Field Airport – 4800 E. Falcon Dr.
- ⏰ Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- The Salvation Army – Mesa Citadel Corps – 241 E. 6th St.

- ⏰ Oct. 1 – May 31: Monday & Thursday, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
