Suspect Arrested Following Repeated Exposure Incidents at Lakeland Discount Store

LAKELAND, FL — A Lakeland man is behind bars after allegedly exposing himself to employees at a local discount store on multiple occasions.

During the late afternoon of Monday, April 13th, a man entered a discount store located near the intersection of Pipkin Road and Lakeland. According to witnesses, the man loitered inside the business for 30 minutes to an hour, causing several employees to feel visibly uncomfortable.
The situation escalated when a female employee entered the pet supplies aisle. She encountered the man, who allegedly lifted his shirt and pulled down his pants to expose himself while swaying his hips. The victim immediately fled to the front of the store and instructed a co-worker to call 911.
The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived, but a subsequent investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Officerevealed that this was not the first time the individual had targeted this specific store with similar behavior.
Detectives identified the suspect as Dominique Carnell Butler, 39. Following the filing of a complaint affidavit, deputies located Butler's vehicle traveling on Old Medulla Road on Friday afternoon, April 17th.
A traffic stop was conducted, and Butler was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Sheriff's Processing Center and booked on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of Exposure of Sexual Organ.
