SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.  The Scottsdale Police Department has reached out to iSkyNews.com to issue a final call for applicants for the upcoming Public Safety Teen Academy. With the deadline fast approaching, there are approximately 15 spots remaining for this immersive, free summer program.

Designed for teens ages 14 to 18, the one-week academy offers a behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations of law enforcement and the fire department. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, from physical training and drone demonstrations to interacting with specialized units like the K9 and Mounted units.

Program Details:

  • Dates: June 1–4
  • Location: 911 N. Stadem Drive, Tempe, AZ
  • Cost: Free
  • Application Deadline: May 4th

The program aims to bridge the gap between local youth and public safety professionals, providing a unique environment to explore potential career paths in emergency services. Last year’s academy featured high-energy training exercises and classroom sessions that provided a realistic look at what it takes to serve the community.

How to Apply:

Interested students and parents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to secure one of the final 15 openings.

  • QR Code: Scan the code on the official flyer to be taken directly to the registration page.
  • Questions: Contact your local School Resource Officer for additional information.

Don’t miss this chance to gain valuable skills and insight into the world of public safety this June.
