Man Accused of Ramming Deputies’ Vehicles Captured After Foot Chase in Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A suspect who allegedly rammed two patrol vehicles and fled from deputies earlier this month has been arrested following a multi-day investigation, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the incident began on February 11, 2026, when an Osceola County deputy spotted a Tesla stopped at a traffic light with no headlights on in the southbound lanes of Poinciana Boulevard.

When several deputies approached to check on the driver, they discovered the male was passed out behind the wheel. As deputies attempted to wake him, the driver suddenly accelerated, ramming two OCSO patrol vehicles before fleeing the scene.

Pursuit and Vehicle Abandonment

Deputies deployed stop sticks as the Tesla approached Interstate 4, successfully damaging the vehicle’s tires. The suspect continued onto the westbound lanes of I-4, where he eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Authorities secured the vehicle and were able to positively identify the driver through investigative leads.

On February 23, 2026, deputies located the suspect at a residence on Tamarind Park Lane in Kissimmee. Deputies surrounded the home and issued commands over a loudspeaker for the suspect to exit.

Investigators say the suspect attempted to flee again by running out a back sliding door and jumping two fences, but was quickly confronted by deputies and a K-9 unit. He then surrendered without further incident.

The suspect, identified as Rocci Marques Berry Jr. (DOB 12/8/1999), was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail on multiple charges, including:

  • Aggravated Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer
  • Fleeing and Eluding
  • Resisting with Violence

Deputies also confirmed Berry had an active warrant related to a previous DUI arrest.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details may be released as the case proceeds.
