According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on December 16, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m. A 21-year-old man was attempting to sell his gray BMW 5 Series after arranging to meet two men who had responded to his online listing. The meeting took place near the intersection of Cobblestone Circle and Cobblers Lane.
Investigators said the victim and the two suspects went for a test drive of the BMW. When the test drive ended, one of the suspects allegedly produced a firearm, pointed it at the victim, and ordered him out of the vehicle. One suspect fled the scene in the stolen BMW, while the second suspect left in a Honda Accord that had been used to arrive at the meet-up.
The victim immediately contacted 911. Deputies responded quickly and, with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office STAR helicopter, were able to locate both vehicles. Authorities said the driver of the stolen BMW abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was captured and arrested by Deputy Calhoun. Meanwhile, Sgt. Strodtman located the Honda Accord, conducted a traffic stop, and arrested the second suspect. A Glock handgun was found on that suspect at the time of arrest.
