Mesa, AZ — Emergency crews responded to an intentional fire at Las Paloma Senior Living, an assisted living facility in Mesa late Sunday morning, prompting the evacuation of all residents.


According to Mesa Fire & Rescue, a 911 call was received around 11:30 a.m. reporting a fire at the facility located at 9050 E. Brown Road. When firefighters arrived on scene, they encountered light smoke filling the hallways of the building.


First responders quickly evacuated all residents to safety as crews worked to contain the situation. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported at this time.


As of 12:15 p.m., all units have been cleared from the scene and are back in service.


Authorities have confirmed the fire was intentionally set, though further details about the suspect or motive have not yet been released.
