Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Glendale Juvenile Kidnapping Incident


Glendale, AZ — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in a strange and disturbing kidnapping incident involving a juvenile near Palo Verde Middle School.


According to investigators, the incident happened on Friday, March 28, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., when a group of kids was walking southbound on 39th Avenue from the school. A man driving a black Chevy Cruze with Arizona plates pulled up and asked the children if they had been throwing rocks.


When the kids responded no and ran away, the suspect turned northbound on 39th Avenue, later locating them at 3830 West Glendale Avenue. The suspect then pulled one of the juveniles into his car and drove him back to Palo Verde Middle School, where the child was turned over to school staff.


Authorities describe the suspect as a Black male, approximately 5'11", 150 pounds, with black hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and black pants.


Though the victim was returned unharmed, police are treating this as a kidnapping and are actively investigating.
