KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A suspicious death investigation is underway after Kissimmee Police responded to a residential neighborhood Thursday morning and discovered an individual with apparent injuries.

According to the Kissimmee Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Heather Way at approximately 10:15 a.m. on June 25, 2026, following a report of an injured person.

When officers arrived, they located the individual and quickly secured the scene. Detectives have since classified the case as a suspicious death investigation.

iSkyNews.com reporters responded to the scene and observed a significant law enforcement presence as detectives processed the area for several hours. Crime scene investigators remained on scene while portions of the neighborhood were secured as the investigation continued.

During the investigation, detectives determined that a vehicle had been taken from the scene.

The vehicle was later located by the Altamonte Springs Police Department, and the person driving it was taken into custody by that agency.

At this time, investigators say they are working to determine what, if any, connection the individual in custody may have to the suspicious death investigation.

The identity of the deceased is not being released until next of kin have been notified.

Detectives say the investigation remains active, and no additional information is being released at this time.
