Three-Vehicle Crash in Mesa Injures Two, Includes Children Among Patients

Mesa, AZ — A serious three-vehicle accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the intersection of Power Road and Guadalupe Road in Mesa, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.
According to Mesa Fire & Rescue, the crash involved five patients, including children. Due to the number of people involved and the complexity of the scene, the incident was upgraded to a “2-in-1 Medical” call, bringing in additional support from Gilbert Fire Department and Mesa Police.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found the vehicles blocking the westbound lanes of Guadalupe Road near the intersection. Mesa Fire personnel worked quickly to secure vehicle hazards and perform extrications to safely remove all patients from the vehicles.
Two of the five individuals were injured and transported to Banner Hospital. Their conditions remain unknown at this time.
As of the latest report, the scene remains active with Mesa Police continuing their investigation. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the roadway is cleared.
