Suspect Identified in Golf Cart Theft from Crusin' Concepts in DeLand


DeLand, FL — Police have identified the suspect in Monday's golf cart theft as 46-year-old Casey James Thrasher, who now faces felony grand theft charges.


The stolen yellow EZ-GO golf cart has been recovered and safely returned to Crusin' Concepts, the business located at 139 North Spring Garden Avenue where the theft occurred.


The case has officially been turned over to the State Attorney's Office for further action.

Original Report: On Monday around 2:40 p.m., a man believed to be a transient in his 40s or 50s, wearing a green long sleeve shirt and brown pants, stole a yellow EZ-GO golf cart from Crusin' Concepts in DeLand. The cart was last seen heading westbound on State Road 44.
