Mesa, AZ — A serious multi-vehicle accident unfolded this afternoon on U.S. 60, just west of Sossaman Road, causing major traffic delays and sending two people to local hospitals.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:37 p.m., involving a total of four vehicles, according to Mesa Fire & Rescue officials. Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene, assessing four patients in total. While two of those involved declined medical transport, two others were taken to nearby hospitals for further evaluation and treatment.

Mesa Fire & Rescue confirmed that the crash has led to significant lane blockages, with vehicles obstructing lanes 3, 4, and 5 on the highway. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes as clean-up efforts and investigations continue.
