MESA, AZ – Authorities in Mesa are searching for 15-year-old Maximus Ortega, who has been reported missing after leaving his residence on March 17, 2025.

Maximus was last seen around 3:00 PM on foot near Gilbert Road and Brown Road in Mesa. He was wearing a black sweater and black pants and carrying a black backpack at the time of his disappearance. His family has not seen or heard from him since, and they are deeply concerned for his safety.

The Mesa Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit is leading the search and urges anyone with information about Maximus’s whereabouts to call Investigator M. Vega (#13581) at 480-644-2211. The case number for this investigation is #2025-58905.
