Thanks to an alert citizen who saw something and said something, deputies were dispatched around 3:00 a.m. to May Grove Village, located off Gibsonia-Galloway Road. Upon arrival, they spotted the suspects attempting to flee the area in a golf cart.
The duo — identified as 21-year-old Bradley Shaw and 20-year-old Caiden Kirkland, both of Lakeland — were quickly detained.
Deputies recovered gloves, a mask, and a hoodie that had been discarded during the brief pursuit, adding to the growing pile of evidence.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, both men now face an extensive list of charges:
Unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling (3 counts) (with mask enhancement)
