Frostproof Woman Arrested After Fleeing Deputies Twice in One Day

Frostproof, FL. - A Frostproof woman who was already out on bond for fleeing from deputies and driving without a valid license was arrested again on Thursday, March 6, 2025, after making two separate attempts to evade law enforcement in Polk County.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:09 PM, a deputy attempted to pull over a silver Ford Mustang on Masterpiece Road in Lake Wales. The driver, later identified as 35-year-old Kristin Ann Mittelstadt, refused to stop and sped away.
A short time later, another deputy spotted the same Mustang and attempted a second traffic stop—but once again, Mittelstadt fled at high speed.
Due to her reckless disregard for other motorists, a deputy executed a PIT maneuver in a safe area, bringing the chase to an end. Mittelstadt was taken into custody and transported to the Polk County Jail.
Charges Against Mittelstadt:
• Fleeing to Elude
• Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia
• Knowingly Driving While License Suspended/Revoked (Her license was revoked in 2009.)
When questioned by deputies, Mittelstadt admitted she fled because she knew she would likely go to jail for a long time—especially since she was already out on bond for the same offenses.
