Fatal Bicycle Accident in Osceola County Leaves 63-Year-Old Man Dead
OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL — A tragic accident in Osceola County on the night of April 3, 2025, has left one man dead following a collision between a pickup truck and a bicyclist at a busy intersection.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:33 p.m. at the intersection of East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (US 192) and Bill Beck Boulevard. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 56-year-old man from Kissimmee was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on US 192, approaching the intersection in the outside lane.
At the same time, a 63-year-old man from Saint Cloud, identified as the bicyclist, was traveling south to north through the crosswalk at the east side of the intersection. Investigators report that the pickup truck entered the intersection on a green traffic light when the bicyclist moved into its direct path.
The front of the Silverado struck the bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Emergency responders transported him to Osceola Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Authorities have confirmed that next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the pickup truck was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the collision. He remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The crash remains under active investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
