Driver Arrested in Chandler Hit-and-Run Crash That Injured Bicyclist


CHANDLER, Ariz. — Chandler Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist injured back in February, thanks to critical tips from the community.


According to the Chandler Police Department, the incident occurred on February 23, 2025, near Arizona Avenue and Western Canal. Officers say the suspect’s vehicle, a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, struck a bicyclist and fled the scene. Since the crash, detectives have been actively investigating the case.


On April 3, just after 7 p.m., 41-year-old Robert Worley was taken into custody. Worley has been charged with one count of leaving the scene of an injury accident, which is classified as a Class 2 felony in Arizona.


Chandler PD extended their gratitude to the public for providing valuable information that led to the arrest.


"We’d like to thank the community for their assistance in helping us identify and locate the suspect," said Chandler Police. "We also wish the victim of this crash a speedy and full recovery."
