Kissimmee, FL - Bailey, a five-year-old Pitbull mix with a heart as big as her smile, has been through a terrifying ordeal. Her family’s worst fears came true when she suddenly fell ill, and despite rushing her to a clinic for treatment, Bailey just wasn’t getting better.

At first, she was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection, but as her condition kept declining, her family ran out of options — and funds. Desperate to save their girl, they reached out to the team at SNiP-it, a local clinic known for helping families in need. Right away, the team sprang into action.

Bloodwork revealed what no pet owner ever wants to hear: Bailey had pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection. Without immediate surgery, Bailey was at risk of sepsis, shock, and even death.

Thankfully, Dr. Cames and the incredible staff at SNiP-it didn’t waste a second. They rushed Bailey into surgery, keeping her family updated every step of the way. It was a tense and emotional time, but their love for Bailey and the team’s dedication pulled her through.

Bailey is now on the mend and expected to make a full recovery! But while her life has been saved, her family is still facing the heavy cost of emergency care. Even with the help of an Osceola County grant that covered part of her spay, there’s still an outstanding balance of $750.

That’s why Bailey’s family — and the team who helped save her — are turning to the community for help.

Every single donation counts. Truly. Even just a few dollars can help lift this burden.

How You Can Help Bailey:

  • Donate at www.letssnipit.org

  • Call SNiP-it at 407-476-4748 if you’d like to give directly or learn more

  • Share Bailey’s story to help spread the word and reach more animal lovers

Bailey’s story is also a powerful reminder: pyometra is preventable.

A simple spay surgery, done as early as three months of age, can save pets from this heartbreaking and dangerous condition. If you have pets at home, please consider making an appointment to keep them safe.

Bailey’s family is so grateful for any help you can give. With your support, not only can we ease their burden, but we can also continue helping other families facing emergencies like this.

Let’s come together and show Bailey — and her family — that our community has their back.
