Gilbert, Arizona — Gilbert Police are investigating an accidental shooting that happened Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Carla Vista Drive and Nielson Street.
According to the Gilbert Police Department, a 911 call came in around 1:30 p.m. reporting a firearm discharge. Officers say it appears to be an accidental discharge involving an adult individual who unintentionally injured themselves with their own firearm.
The injured person was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. Thankfully, police confirm there is no danger to the public, and this was an isolated incident.
